My friend and I got all dressed up and it took us forever. After getting all ready I was pretty excited to get started collecting candy but unlike most Halloweens before people didn't seem to friendly. About half the houses we went to gave us dirty looks, like we were to old to be trick or treating. I couldn't believe it! Is it written somewhere that I'm not aware of that you have to be like 7 and under to trick or treat?
Why do adults seem to have such a problem when older kids want to trick or treat? Are we hurting you? If you have a problem with us trick or treating put a sign on your door or something...don't just stand there and scowl because we're having more fun than you are.
So grown ups.....Don't like it? DONT LOOK!!!!! There is no reason you should have any problem with older kids trick or treating! I fully intend on trick or treating until I die and when I get really old..like wrinkled I'll just wear a mask!
Lately I've realized that being a grown up is kind of overrated. Lets see what you get when you become a grown up...
- You no longer get student discount tickets at the movies
- You have to pay bills
- You can't turn to your parentals when you need extra spending money
- Your too old for the kids lunch menu but to young for the senior citizen discount
- You loose that ability to find the joy in the little things
- You have to go to work
- You don't have much time for your friends
It almost seems like adults simply forget how to be kids. Being a kid is amazing and you should never take it for granted. Live every day as if it was your last!
