Everybody is perfect they way they are!

Today's society is way to focused on outer appearance. Women are made to think they have to be a size 0 just to be considered attractive. I think thats horrible!

Women should be happy and feel good about themselves inside and out no matter what size they are. As long as they're happy with the way they are who cares whether their a size 0 or a size 18. I'm not saying we should eat fast food ever day until we can't get off the couch. I'm simply saying that as long as you're healthy and happy it shouldn't matter if you have a little junk in the trunk.

All around us in movies, TV, magazines its portrayed that being thin is the way you're supposed to be. I was watching America's next top model when Whitney the plus size model won and shortly after winning she was in Cosmo Girl in a bikini. To me she looked like a normal size girl you would see at the beach in a bikini. So who decided what plus size was anyways? Just because she has curves and eats like a normal person we're calling her PLUS size that's outrageous. Then they wonder why girls are becoming anorexic and bulimic. Give me a break!

To me plus size is when you have extra meat on your bones....not just having big bones! I'm not talking 5 lbs over your ideal weight either. I'm talking Lane Bryant shopping, a little flab under your arms ( ladies you know what I'm talking about..that old lady hang), your thighs actually touch, and knowing what your good angle is for picture taking so we don't catch that extra chin. None of this stuff is bad either every extra thing you have makes you who you are. That extra weight might make you the pleasant upbeat person you are. So if you have some extra pounds embrace them and enjoy your life.

Every girl wants to be considered attractive whether they're willing to admit it or not. Every women is beautiful in her own way. Ladies don't ever let someone make you feel like your not pretty just because you have a little more to you. Just remember thats more of you to love and any guy who can't accept that isn't worth your time.

I have one more thing to say....Did you ever notice how big men aren't fat only fat women are fat..by this I mean that it's perfectly acceptable for a man to be overweight or even obese and that doesn't stop a women from loving him. But if a women were a bit on the heavy side she would be seen as lazy and unhealthy. Isn't that kind of unfair?

If I Had A Million Dollars

If I were super rich like all these pop stars and actors you see now a days I don't think I'd spend my money on insane things like they tend to do.

Personally I don't see the point in buying a $5000.00 pair of panties. I can buy a $6 pair and chances are they're doing the same thing. I don't understand why they spend $15,000 on a dress when you can spend $100 or maybe even less and have a dress that's just as beautiful. Do you really need expensive things to make you feel pretty?

I'm not going to lie I'd probably buy a few things that I didn't absolutely need to have that are a little pricey but I don't think I'd go over bored like you see on those Fabulous Life of shows.

If I were super rich like some of the celebrities today I would:

*Put myself through school...the only thing stopping me from going right now it the money. I don't feel like being in debt for the rest of my life. I'd like to go so that is definitely one of the first things I'd do with all my money.

* My sister's about to graduate high school this year and she's an incredibly bright person. But again she doesn't have the money to go to school and my parent's certainly can't afford to pay for it. So she's putting it off until she can afford the local community college. Not bad but I wish I had enough money to put her through school as well. She's going to do something great someday so school would be a great investment if I had all that money.

* My parents are having a really hard time keeping up with bills right now. If I had the money I'd pay off whatever they owe on our house. That way they wouldn't have to stress so much and they would have more money to go out and do things like vacations.

* My brother isn't real big on school and I don't think he has any plans of going to college. Kind of disappointing because he's also pretty bright when he applies himself. But it's his life so if he decided to go I'd pay for his school and if he didn't I think I'd buy him a car. He just turned 16 and I always wanted to be one of those kids who were surprised when they woke up on their 16th birthday with a car with a big bow in the driveway so it would be nice to be able to do that for him.

* My mom used to own her own company and she did an amazing job. She took it from our house to a good size building make a pretty decent amount of money. When she chose to do it my brother, sister and I were all younger so we couldn't be of much help. My dad helped but he was also running his own business so there was only so much he could do. She was forced to close the business after some major setbacks. Now my mom tells us about how hard it was to do it by herself but how great it was to have done it. I know that if she had the financial backing she would definitely do it again and my guess is she would blow the competition away. So if I had the money I would definitely invest in her business so she could give it another try.

* My dad's family is really important to him but unfortunately most of them live down in Texas while we're here in Illinois. Needless to say he doesn't get to see them very often. I know he misses them, he's always trying to get them to come up for the holiday's and when we have some extra money he takes us down there to see them. If I had the money I'd buy him some property down near his family that way he could go visit whenever he wanted.

Do something with yourself

Everybody has it in them to be something great it's up to you to decide whether your going to live up to your full potential or just coast through life.

I'm always reading in magazines about these people who are doing so much with their lives. Helping save starving kids, starting their own clothing lines, building schools in third world countries and so much more. I read once about this young girl, I think she was about 15, and she had started her own clothing line. Just recently I actually saw her on America's Next Top Model I think it was. That's amazing to me that this young girl has accomplished so much already. Then I look at what I've done and I'm not going to lie sometimes I'm a little disappointed with myself that I can't seem to get it together and do something great.

I'm a very indecisive person but I don't lack in the creative department at all. I'm always coming up with ideas for businesses to start or things I can do with myself...Things I want to fix in the world and things that need to change. My problem is deciding what to do and how to start.

What's your excuse? Every day you wake up you have a chance to do something great with your life. You should make the most of it and live every day as if it were your last. Now if only I could take my own advice I would be in business.

Sometimes Loyalty Isn't a Good Quality

Have you ever noticed that companies are willing to offer you a pretty good deal to do business with them but the longer you stay with them the crappier service you get. It seems to me that the more loyal a customer is the more you're going to get ripped off.

I'm thinking mostly AT&T from my experience. My parents have been loyal customers for years and not only do we have our land lines through them we do our internet and cellphones through them as well. Just recently I've started paying more attention to the phone bill and I couldn't believe how much it was the first time I saw it.

We used to get our second line for like $10 a month and one day they just decided to bump that up to I think it was $19. Not a huge deal but you take that extra $9 and figure out how much extra you would be spending in a year....$108. I don't know about you guys but I'm sure my dad could find somewhere else to spend that extra money.

Just last month they stopped our internet and when I called about it I was told it was because nobody had payed the bill. Kind of unusual my dad keeps pretty good track of his bills and when every things due. Unless he doesn't have the money every things always paid in full and on time.

When I told my dad that they messed with the internet because he hadn't paid the bill he was as surprised as I was. He had never received a paper bill for the month. Turns out that somehow it had been switched and they were sending our bills through email. Well everyone in my house knows that my dad pays the bills and my dad can hardly work a computer let alone email. There's no way he switched it and my mom couldn't have done it because she loves having the phone and internet and in order to keep that my dad has to get that paper bill.

When we finally received the paper bill they were about to turn our phones off. By that time my dad had already paid all the other bills and with work being slow right now he didn't have the money to pay the phone bill.

They messed up we didn't get the bill on time and now our phones don't work. Awesome isn't it!

Another company that hard core rips you off if you stay loyal is Comcast. Ever see those deals on TV where you get a great deal on TV and internet if your just signing up. Well stay with the company for awhile and that goes right out the window. You'll be paying way more in no time.

Why are companies so interested in gaining more customers when they don't provide good service to the customers they already have?

Get Out of That Funk

Ever since the economy started getting bad people seem to be in this funk and everybody I know seems to be depressed. Snap out of it!

You're the only one who can change the way things are going in your life. If you aren't happy with something right now change it. Don't just wait it out because chances are its not going to fix itself.

*Unhappy with your body...join a gym. I recently joined XSport Fitness and so far I'm pretty happy with it. It's a nice place, open 24/7, its a bigger gym,  they have tons of equipment, pool, resistance pool, hot tub, tanning, and salon, its just and all around nice place and its decently priced. It costs me $35 a month but I think its well worth it. Don't have $35 to spare there's always Cardinal Fitness which isn't as big, no pool or salon, but still a decent amount of equipment and costs only $20 a month. If you don't have money to hit the gym you can always go walk outside, play a sport, do something physical. There's also those cut outs in magazines such as Prevention and Woman's World that will put a nice little routine together for you.

*Lost your job....get off you but and go find another one.  I know that there's been a major decrease in job openings lately but that doesn't mean there isn't anything or that its not worth trying. Check the classifieds if there isn't anything there your interested in or have the skills for go out and actually walk into places to see if they're hiring. Ask your friends after all its not what you know its who you know. Start your own business I'm sure it can be a truly rewarding experience if you have the knowledge and drive to do something like that. I'm not saying work a job you absolutely hate I would never advise anybody to do that because I myself would never do that. I'm simply saying there's always options.

*Can't pay the bills...you don't have to have the best of everything. Can't afford digital cable with 5000 channels switch to basic cable or even try going without tv. As long as you have power and a DVD player you'll be set. You don't need the fastest internet on the planet switch to a slower connection and save a few bucks or you could always go back to the land line connection.  If you have a cell phone and a land line think about how much you actually use that land line...is it really necessary? If it is ask your provider what kind of deal they can work out for you. Most companies are willing to work with you as long as their getting your money. Stop eating out so much. If you don't feel like cooking you can always make all your meals at the beginning of the week and then freeze them until your ready for them.

*No social life...whether it be lack or friends or lack of money there's always a solution. Lets start with lack of friends..go out and meet people. Try a social networking site or places like meetup.com. If you are making friends with people on the internet be safe about it. Meet in a public place and if its possible bring someone along with you the first time. Now if it's a lack of money causing your social life to dwindle there are so many ways to fix this. Have a girls night, invite your girlfriends over and have everyone bring something fun for the group, maybe a movie, a snack, a game or something fun like that. Play bored games they where fun when you were a kid what changed? Rent movies instead of going to the movies and if you're really broke you can rent DVDs from the library at no charge. Think like a kid they're always having friends over without going out or spending any money and they have a blast.

Every problem you face always has a solution sometimes you just have to dig a little deeper to find one.

Election Day!

Everybody who is able to vote should do so today. If you don't take part and voice your opinion you have no right to complain about the president or any of the mistakes he is making. Don't vote, don't like something....keep it to yourself.

I hope Obama wins!!! and I'll be voting today for sure along with my friends and family.

Growing Up

Tonight was Halloween and what do you do on Halloween....TRICK OR TREATING! So I was amazed to find that this Halloween not very many people participated in this tradition.

My friend and I got all dressed up and it took us forever. After getting all ready I was pretty excited to get started collecting candy but unlike most Halloweens before people didn't seem to friendly. About half the houses we went to gave us dirty looks, like we were to old to be trick or treating. I couldn't believe it! Is it written somewhere that I'm not aware of that you have to be like 7 and under to trick or treat?

Why do adults seem to have such a problem when older kids want to trick or treat? Are we hurting you? If you have a problem with us trick or treating put a sign on your door or something...don't just stand there and scowl because we're having more fun than you are.

So grown  ups.....Don't like it? DONT LOOK!!!!! There is no reason you should have any problem with older kids trick or treating! I fully intend on trick or treating until I die and when I get really old..like wrinkled I'll just wear a mask!

Lately I've realized that being a grown up is kind of overrated. Lets see what you get when you become a grown up...
  • You no longer get student discount tickets at the movies
  • You have to pay bills
  • You can't turn to your parentals when you need extra spending money
  • Your too old for the kids lunch menu but to young for the senior citizen discount
  • You loose that ability to find the joy in the little things
  • You have to go to work
  • You don't have much time for your friends
It almost seems like adults simply forget how to be kids. Being a kid is amazing and you should never take it for granted. Live every day as if it was your last!

Problems..everybodys got them

You know as much as I feel for people who suffer from depression I'm just not going to lie, I don't really understand how things can get that bad, that you just want to mope around.

Personally I think that depression is something you bring on yourself and therefore you can control it. Everybody hits those down spots in their lives where for a minute it can look like there is no way to get back up. I have news for you if you want it bad enough there is always a way to get back up. People do it all the time!

My mom told me that she's been on top of the mountain so many times and some how she always seems to find herself at the bottom again. Of course I felt bad when she told me this but at the same time it made me think, you don't just wake up one morning and find yourself at the bottom of that mountain you were at the top of the night before. You knock yourself off that mountain. Stop doing things you know you shouldn't and you might just stay on top for a bit longer next time.

You're in control of your life....this means that only you can make it better!

If you know what's causing the problems that are bringing you down take some time and figure out what you need to do in order to make a positive change.

Lost your job....take time to find a new one...can't get a new job...take some time and learn the skills you need in order to find a job you both like and can be financially stable with.

Need more money...get another job...start your own business while working at your normal job.

There is always something you can do to get yourself out of that hole you've dug yourself into!

If you think your at the end of your rope and there's just no hope you can always think about what problems other people face and how most just take them in stride with their everyday lives.

I'm 19 years old, I had a car accident back in December of last year...fell asleep driving, lost my license, found out I have narcolepsy, had to take two sleep test that cost a ton of money, I have a ton of doctor bills, the narcolepsy medicine costs about $320 a month....so next time you think you have problems remember everyone has stuff to deal with. It's not the end of the world!

It's the Little Things

Every day millions of people run through their day without taking time to stop and appreciate all the little things that happen that really mean so much. Here's a list of some of the little things that happen throughout your life that most of us overlook and don't take the time to fully appreciate:

  • That stranger we exchange smiles with on the street....people don't realize what a smile can mean to a person. A real smile shared can brighten someone's entire day!
  • That person that takes 30 extra seconds out of their day to hold open a door for us. Acknowledge that person and the kind gesture they just made waiting for you to pass when chances are they also have somewhere to be....say thank you and mean it!
  • That good feeling you get when you pick up that ringing phone, read the caller ID and its a call you've been waiting for all day.
  • The feeling you get in your stomach when you drive over a hill a little faster than you should.
  • Laughing so hard you cry
  • That day you tripped walking in or out of work and you just swore you would die of embarrassment....Take a chill pill it might not seem ok now but years later you'll be able to tell your kids this story and you'll all get a kick out of it...trust me.

Get Involved!

Every person big, small, young or old can make a difference if they choose to.

When you think about how many people are in the world its kind of overwhelming. According to just about everybody today the planet is way over populated. Think about what a difference we could make if every person did just one good deed a day. I'm not talking about spending half your day building houses or giving up your night to volunteer at the local shelter. If that's what you choose to do thats great. But it doesn't have to be something huge to make a difference. All the little things we do count too whether you think they do or not.

Giving an extra 5 minutes when you pass someone you know to find out how they are can make a difference. Or even finding out about someone you don't know.

I work with this older man. He's a delivery guy at the pizza place where I work. Every Saturday night when I go into work about 9 o'clock this older man is supposed to check out at about 9 or 10 depending on how busy we are. Every Saturday night he'll check out and give me his money to put away and then he'll sit and talk to me and sometimes he stays until we close at 1 am. We sit and talk about everything. He tells me about his wife and why he doesn't look forward to going home and just how unhappy he is with life. I feel bad but I know that, that time I spend with him every Saturday night makes him happy. If everybody spent just a little bit of their time and did something good just think about how great life could be.

Have you ever walked past smiled at a stranger and seen that look in their eye. That look like you just made their day.  Its amazing that something as little as a smile can make others feel happy and yet most people can't find the time to do even that.

If you don't have time or feel like smiling you could always donate money, clothes, toys, books and well the list goes on forever. If every person on our planet would donate just $1 it could make a huge difference. We could find a cure for aids, or help to win the fight against cancer.

I feel like I'm meant to do something great. I haven't figured out what it is yet but I know that I don't want to be actress great. I want to do something to help people, something that will make our world a better place.

Here are a few of the things I've been looking at and a few I've even donated to:

Things Need to Change

Do you ever watch the news and think man I wish I could change that? Have you ever gone through your day and just thought things need to change?

I know that I hardly ever get through a week without discovering something that I wish I had the power to change or fix. Recently I realized....I do! I do have the power to fix anything I want its just a matter of figuring out how to go about getting it done.

Here are a few of the things that I personally think need to be changed or fixed:

  • College and University tuition prices...With the prices of tuition now a days nobody can afford to send their kids to college. Although I guess that works out pretty good for companies that offer student loans. Which brings me to my next point.
  • Student loan interest rates....Have you seen the interest rates on those things? Man you get one loan and you spend the rest of your life paying it off. I feel bad for the kids who need to get them to cover all 4 years of college....GOOD LUCK TO YOU! If you get the loan by yourself (without a cosigner) they charge you interest up the butt. Having your parents cosign for you can help a little bit..if they have good credit. If your parentals have bad credit well your just all around screwed!
  • Plus size modeling...I don't know about most people but those models that they consider "plus size" look like normal girls to me. They look like girls that I could go to the beach and see prancing around in bikinis and I don't mean flab hanging out all over either. They look like normal healthy woman. I guess I'm confused a little bit when it comes to the modeling size issue. Aren't designers making clothes that they want people to buy? Most people I know aren't nearly as thin as those tooth pick models. So who is it they want to buy their clothes?
  • All the tummy tuck, face lift, botox, diet, lippo crap shown in magazines. I picked up a suburban woman magazine and the whole thing from cover to cover was about how to fix different parts of your body...face lift, whiten your teeth, tummy tuck, get rid of crows feet and laugh lines. People wonder why women today are so concerned with the way they look and being so nasty skinny...news flash when everywhere a woman looks she sees fix this and fix that she can't help but think she needs to improve the way she looks. Personally I think its the flaws we have that make us fabulous and unique. Those crows feet and laugh lines are supposed to be there. They show that you've had a life full of happiness and laughter. If you don't have them what does it tell people...you don't know what it feels like to laugh so hard you cry and personally I think thats a shame. I couldn't imagine going through life and now knowing what that feels like.
  • The amount of money illegal immigrants make...I know they aren't here legally and while that is bad I think they are paying for it hard core. In fact they are paying for it more than they should. Because they're illegal employers don't see fit to pay them what they would pay a legal citizen. I think thats disgusting considering how hard working most of them are. I worked with a man who worked about 81 hours a week. From about 8 in the morning to 12 or 1 am 7 days a week. He was payed about a quarter more than the minimum wage but that was only after working there for about 5 years. That man gave up his life to work for them and because he was illegal and didn't speak very good english he didn't even understand about over time and how hard core he was getting ripped off. It just makes me sad to see that people don't even have the decency to treat another human being the way they should be treated because of their own greed.
  • The cost of healthy food in comparison to junk food. People are always commenting on the obesity problem in America. Well have you looked around at food prices. Healthy food costs way more than junk food does. Whether your shopping at the grocery store or buying food at a restaurant its all the same. A salad costs more than a cheeseburger....are you serious! How can you complain about people being fat when are food pricing system is so messed up?
  • The way scholarships are given...I get wanting to award students that do outstanding when it comes to academics or sports but come on how about giving more students a chance and not giving 10 scholarships to the same kid. I think thats ridiculous. I know a ton of students who deserve scholarships just because they didn't participate in as many extra curriculars or play sports doesn't mean they shouldn't get one. Plus schools that don't do the special ranking for advance placement courses are kind of cheating their students out of scholarships. Kids who excel in average classes are getting scholarships because they got and A when a kid who took an advance placement course got a B. Thats bogus!
  • Credit Card Services...Ever want to check your credit score or credit report online? Well they have about 100 different sites that will let you see them for a fee. What they don't tell you is that not only are you paying that fee but you're also signing up to pay a monthly fee for credit monitoring services. I don't think so....those sites are ripping so many people off its ridiculous. Did you know that if they can't charge your credit card one month they never contact you, instead they keep on trying until the payment goes through and if it never does well its just posted to your credit report as not being payed. They will never contact you!...What kind of credit monitoring service is that?
Well I can probably go on and on but those are a few of the main things that I think need to be changed. I'm still working on figuring out a  way to fix them.
